Tutorial : journaling tuck spots and pockets

Hi everyone,

While doing my album, I did extensive research on tuck spots and pockets, just thought I would share these with you !

Simple tuck spotS

Simply stick an image, large or small, on your page, leaving sides free to tuck in your cards.

Corner stuck spot

Cut a corner from a piece of paper or light cardboard and stick it. You can stick the sides of the triangle directly, or cut out a more elaborate form and stick the little flaps. This gives you more room in the tuck spot.

cross page tuck spot

Cut out a straight piece of paper or light cardboard, it can be decorated, perforated on the sides, etc. You can cut it wider than your page and stick the flaps behind the page for more strength (be careful to have planned this back page) ; you can also stick the flaps onto your page by being careful with the glu (I suggest using a ruler to make sure it is stuck properly) ; and you can cut it at the exact length and stick it directly on the page.

Flip spots

Stick the side of an image, either with glue, washi tape, or simply some other paper or cloth to give it more strength. That will give you a great hidden spot and more space to scrap book !

Using envelopes

There are many different ways to use an envelope as a pocket or a tuck spot !

Using paper bags

You can stick the paper bag directly on your page to make a pocket !
